Just hopefully my plan comes together with this and works first time lol. Also I've ordered two 14 pin PCB connectors so I can make up an adapter loom between the Dash 2 & the Ibiza loom, meaning I won't need to cut any wires. Need to get a new dash surround because I won't need the shift light no more. This way I can use the base of the oem clocks to fit the dash 2 perfectly into my dash

Now I'm getting ready to fit a Race Technology Dash 2, got a spare set of clocks and took them apart for the main part of the dash, the plan is to get a carbon fibre panel and shape it to the dash and glue it on then mount the Dash 2 to this. On return I had the same bloke ask what I'm doing because after being flagged I set two more meters off! So my sticker was removed and off home I went

On return to the pits had a talking to and was told where the meters were, back out 7k and change gear, did a lap and set the meters off again, now I was driving like a Sunday Driver Grandad! So on the black flag I drop a gear and went flat out (knowing I will be sent home). Was only rev'in to 7500rpm due to cold tyres, so back in the pits and the silencer fitted, back out and same 6 corners and the noise board again!! This time with the black flag Went to Bedford Autodrome on November 30th but run into a problem, passed a static test with 93 dB's but on the drive by within 6 corners I had the noise board.

Need to update this, haven't been up to much. I'm trying to learn Pinnacle Studio 16 at the moment, if I can manage that I might try my hand at Avid Media Composer which we've got at my work. If it takes too long I just don't get around to it.Įditing is a real skill that takes a lot of devotion, I've got a lot of respect those in the trade. If you want to get fancy with telemetry overlays and picture in picture, Race Render is pretty easy to use.įor me I don't want to spend ages editing video. I use a combination of stuff depending on what I'm doing. For a quick "top and tail" the GoPro app works fine. Sounds like the Ranger could be the go for you, other than some people having some challenges adding electrical accessories, I've not heard anything negative about them.

Not always to most convenient thing to pop down to the shops in. The Amarok and the T5 are huge cars though, they're long and wide. The T5 is an awesome tow car, especially the 4 motion one a few friends use those. I got my Amarok before Ford released the new ranger and I didn't like the previous model. I like to be able to stand up on the tray.įord Rangers here in Oz are only slightly cheaper than the Amarok. I'm also 6'2" and I find the canopies a real pain to load/unload into. I don't carry stuff I need to secure on a daily basis and the weather in Melbourne isn't so bad that it's essential.
